Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Akontec Store (akontec.store) is operated by Akontec Synergy Pvt Ltd, Chennai, India ("Akontec", "we"). This policy explains what personal data we collect when you use the store and the software sold on it, and how we use it. Questions: support@akontec.com.

2. Data we collect

• Account data — name, email, phone, company, billing address and password hash when you create an account.
• Transaction data — subscriptions, invoices and payment status. Card details are processed by our payment providers (Razorpay, Stripe, PayPal) and never stored on our servers.
• Usage data — pages visited, features used, device and browser type, IP address and approximate location, collected via server logs and analytics cookies (only if you accept them).
• Support data — messages, tickets and call recordings where you have been informed of recording.
• Customer content — data you or your users enter into Akon products (contacts, invoices, employee records). You are the controller of this data; we process it on your instructions.

3. How we use it

• To provide, secure and bill for the services you subscribe to.
• To respond to enquiries and support requests.
• To send service notices (billing, security, downtime). Marketing emails are sent only with consent and every one has an unsubscribe link.
• To improve products using aggregated, de-identified usage statistics.
• To comply with law, including tax and accounting obligations.

4. Cookies

Essential cookies keep you signed in and the cart working; they cannot be switched off. Analytics cookies are set only if you click "Accept all" on the cookie notice. You can change your choice by clearing site data in your browser.

5. Sharing

We share data only with processors needed to run the service (cloud hosting, payment gateways, email delivery, WhatsApp Business API providers, analytics), each bound by a data-processing agreement; with professional advisers; and where required by law. We do not sell personal data.

6. Storage, security and retention

Data is hosted in India (Mumbai region) by default, with EU/US regions available on Premium plans. It is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest (AES-256). Account data is kept while your account is active and for up to 7 years after for statutory records; customer content is deleted or returned within 30 days of account closure on request.

7. Your rights

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (India) and, where applicable, the GDPR, you may request access, correction, deletion or portability of your data, withdraw consent, and lodge a complaint with the relevant authority. Email our Grievance Officer at support@akontec.com; we respond within 30 days.

8. Children

The store is for businesses and is not directed at anyone under 18.

9. Changes

We will notify account holders by email of material changes to this policy at least 14 days before they take effect.
